What This Does
Opens a universal search bar that finds apps, files, contacts, calculations, and unit conversions from anywhere on your iPad.
Why It's Useful
Instead of hunting through home screen pages or opening apps one by one, Spotlight puts everything at your fingertips. Type a few letters and launch, calculate, or convert instantly.
How to Do It
- From the Home Screen, swipe down anywhere on the middle of the screen
- Start typing an app name, file name, or calculation
- Tap a result to open it, or read the answer inline for math and conversions
Try This Now
Swipe down on the Home Screen, type 15 * 24 and read the result. Then clear the search, type the name of any app, and tap it to launch.
