Run calm, repeatable reps that build iPad confidence through gestures and built-in app habits.

Navigation reps

  • Swipe up from the bottom to go home, then open an app and swipe up-and-pause for the App Switcher.
  • Swipe along the home bar to switch between your two most recent apps.
  • Swipe down on the Home Screen to open Spotlight and launch an app by name.

Multitasking drills

Practice until these feel automatic.

  • Open Split View with two apps you use together (e.g., Safari and Notes).
  • Drag the divider to give one app more space, then reset it.
  • Open Slide Over with a third app, then drag a photo from Photos into Notes.

Editing habits

Build three-finger and keyboard gestures into your daily flow.

  1. Type a sentence in Notes, then three-finger swipe left to undo it.
  2. Select text, three-finger pinch to copy, move the cursor, three-finger spread to paste.
  3. Press and hold the space bar to move the cursor to a specific word.
