Practice setup download
Download the ready-made practice pack and unzip it. Open it in Finder to practice selection, Quick Look, drag & drop, aliases, tags (labels), and nested navigation.
- Double-tap: Select a single word.
- Triple-tap: Select the entire paragraph.
- Shift (⇧) + Drag: Select a precise range of text.
- Shift (⇧) + Tap: Extend the selection to the cursor position.
- Two-finger tap OR Control (⌃) + Tap: Open the context menu to Copy and Paste.
- Click & Drag Selection: Move text from one box to another.
- Option (⌥) + Drag Selection: Duplicate/Copy text to the other box.
Practice
Select, copy, and paste
About 60 seconds
Try triple-tapping paragraphs, double-tapping words, or using modifier keys to select text, then paste into the box.
Select sample text, copy it, then paste it on the right.
Select this sentence, copy it, then paste it in the box on the right.
Double-tap words like Katana or Stealth to select them with precision.
Uses your normal copy and paste. Typed matching text is not treated as proof of a copy gesture.
Done when: Selected text appears in the paste box.
Scrolling Mastery
Click inside the scroll area, then use two fingers to scroll vertically and horizontally.
Scroll vertically and sideways. Flick for inertia; tap to stop.
