Select Multiple Photos Quickly
What This Does
Lets you select many photos at once in the Photos app by dragging your finger across them.
Why It's Useful
Tapping photos one by one to share, delete, or move an album is slow. The drag-to-select gesture lets you grab dozens of photos in seconds.
How to Do It
- Open the Photos app and navigate to an album or the Recents view
- Tap Select in the top-right corner
- Tap one photo, then without lifting your finger, drag across other photos to select them in a batch
- Tap Share, Delete, or Add to Album to act on the selection
Try This Now
Open Photos, tap Select, tap one photo, and drag diagonally across a row to select five or more photos at once. Tap Cancel to deselect without deleting.
