Scan Documents in Notes
What This Does
Uses your iPad camera to scan a physical document and save it as a clean PDF inside Apple Notes.
Why It's Useful
No scanner app needed. Point your iPad at a receipt, form, or page and Notes automatically detects edges, straightens the image, and saves a sharp PDF you can share or search later.
How to Do It
- Open the Notes app and create a new note or open an existing one
- Tap the camera icon above the keyboard
- Select Scan Documents
- Point the camera at the document — it auto-captures when detected, or tap the shutter button
- Tap Save when finished scanning all pages
Try This Now
Open Notes, tap the camera icon, choose Scan Documents, and scan any piece of paper nearby. Save it and confirm the PDF appears inside your note.
