Picture-in-Picture Video

What This Does

Keeps a video playing in a small floating window while you use other apps on your iPad.

Why It's Useful

Watch a tutorial while taking notes, follow a video call while checking email, or keep a live stream visible while browsing. Picture-in-Picture means you never have to choose between watching and working.

How to Do It

  1. Start playing a video in a supported app (Safari, FaceTime, YouTube, etc.)
  2. Tap the Picture-in-Picture button in the video controls, or swipe up from the bottom to go home while the video is playing
  3. The video shrinks into a floating window you can drag to any corner
  4. Pinch to resize the window, or tap the X to close it

Try This Now

Open a short video in Safari, start playback, then swipe up to go home. Confirm the video keeps playing in a floating window. Open Notes and type while the video runs.

Mental Hook: Video floats, work continues.
