Handoff
What This Does
Start in one app on Mac and continue on iPad, or the reverse.
Why It's Useful
Handoff keeps your place when you switch devices. Start reading on the couch and finish at your desk without hunting for the same page.
How to Do It
- Use the same Apple Account on both devices
- Enable Handoff in system settings
- Open a supported app such as Safari, Mail, Notes, or Messages
- Begin working on one device
- Look for the Handoff icon on the other device
- Tap or click it to continue
Try This Now
Open a webpage in Safari on your Mac, then look for the Handoff icon in the iPad Dock or app switcher. Tap it to open the same page on the iPad.
