Drag and Drop Between Apps
What This Does
Moves text, links, photos, or files from one app directly into another by dragging.
Why It's Useful
No copy-paste dance, no saving to Files first. Drag and drop is the fastest way to move content between apps — especially when Split View or Slide Over is active.
How to Do It
- Open two apps side-by-side in Split View, or one app with Slide Over
- Press and hold the item you want to move (text, photo, file, or link)
- Drag it toward the other app and release when you see the drop target highlight
Try This Now
Open Photos and Notes in Split View. Long-press a photo in Photos, drag it into a note, and release. Confirm the image appears in Notes.
