Open the Dock Anywhere
What This Does
Reveals the Dock — your favorite apps and recently used apps — while you stay inside your current app.
Why It's Useful
You do not need to go home to launch another app. A small upward swipe from the bottom edge shows the Dock so you can open Split View, Slide Over, or jump to a favorite app without losing your place.
How to Do It
- While in any app, place your finger on the bottom edge of the screen
- Swipe up slightly — just enough to reveal the Dock, then stop
- Tap an app icon in the Dock to open it, or drag one to the side for Split View
Try This Now
Open Safari, swipe up slightly from the bottom to reveal the Dock, and tap Notes. Notice you can peek at the Dock without leaving Safari entirely.
