Open a Finder window showing the directory you're currently in, bridging terminal and GUI instantly.

Why It's Useful

Bridge Terminal and GUI instantly. See files visually, drag and drop, or use Finder's features while working in the terminal.

How to Do It

  1. Type open . to open the current directory
  2. Or type open /path/to/directory to open any directory
  3. A Finder window opens showing that location

Try This Now

Navigate to any directory with cd ~/Documents, then run open .. A Finder window opens showing your Documents folder.
