Sidecar: Extend Desktop

How

  1. On the Mac, open Control Center from the menu bar
  2. Click Screen Mirroring
  3. Select your iPad
  4. Open System Settings → Displays if needed
  5. Set the iPad to 'Extended Display' instead of mirror
  6. Drag Mac windows onto the iPad screen

Try this

Open Safari on your Mac and a notes app window. Drag the notes window onto the iPad screen. Confirm you can type on the iPad while Safari stays on the Mac.
