Open two apps side-by-side in Split View, or one app with Slide Over
Press and hold the item you want to move (text, photo, file, or link)
Drag it toward the other app and release when you see the drop target highlight

Open Photos and Notes in Split View. Long-press a photo in Photos, drag it into a note, and release. Confirm the image appears in Notes.
